cherry blossom festival

So a travelin' lady FINALLY had a day off. Literally could not have been more thrilled about it. I spent some sweet time exploring around home! It was so great. My friend, Madisen, came and spent the day with me. DC has a big week long festival to celebrate the cherry blossoms blooming. So many people come from all over to see these beauties. I was lucky enough to have a day off to see them in their most colorful stage before they turned back to their normal color (which isn't much fun at all). Madisen and I spent the day walking all over the national mall enjoying being alive- it was just one of those days. We celebrated with a picnic, dancing, going to a butterfly exhibit, and seeing the Thomas Jefferson memorial because it was TJ'a birthday! It was such a special day. Here are all my favorite moments. The trees were breathtaking, my pictures don't even do justice.
